Love

Love is something everyone is looking for whether they want to admit it or not. Love has not changed but the forms of relationships have.
Relationships have drastically changed since the 60's. According to Stephanie Coontz book Marriage: a History “But love in marriage was seen as a bonus, not a necessity” (Coontz 19).

That is not the case in today's time because everyone either wants to be in love or in some form of a relationship.

Love and Sex in Popular Culture

Love in Popular Culture also includes a lot of sexual intercourse. The article "Casual Sex May Be Approving America's Marriages" by Helen Fisher agrees with our concept. Young people tend to have sexual intercourse before even falling in love with someone. " In 2013, 58 percent of men and 50 percent of women in our Singles in America study reported that they’d had a friends with benefits relationship, including one in three people in their 70s. And 28 percent of our 2014 participants had had a friends with benefits relationship turn into a long-term partnership" (Fisher).
